Summertime means beautiful blue skies, no school, and Tonic Studio’s Christmas collection! This year it’s called Santa’s Workshop and is filled with beautifully traditional reds and greens. Let’s take a look.
I never know what to show you first so I thought I’d start with the product that made me fall in love with Nuvo – their Mousse line. You thought I was going to say Nuvo Drops, didn’t you? Surprise! Their English Heather Embellishment Mousse was my very first love.
We’re starting off with this beautiful Christmas green Embellishment Mousse. I can see this being a favorite product for so many working on their Christmas cards, Memory Books, and crafts. Myrtle Green has a lovely pearly shine and, personally, I love how quickly it can dry with stencils.
Next up is this traditional Christmas red Crackle Mousse called Rose Hips. Crackle Mousse was a new product last year at Creativation and they’ve been slowly expanding the line bit by bit. This red is a welcome addition and should look nice next to the Chameleon Green Crackle Mousse that came out in the beginning of 2020.
Embossing powder has been a staple for card markers for many years, but I’m starting to see it show up more and more in scrapbooking. I love to make a title with it to add some shine without adding a lot of bulk to my page. The traditional dark green embossing powder is named perfectly – Pine Needles. I’m excited for Sugared Strawberries because it includes glitter. Love the sparkle but with no mess!
To go with the lovely embossing powders we have a new addition to the Nuvo Diamond Ink Pads. Glacier Cherry and Shamrock Green are the traditional hybrid ink. Also included is pigment ink called White Pigment. Pigment inks are wonderful for embossing because they take a bit longer to dry, giving you more time to add your powder.

There’s more sparkly goodness with the Nuvo Glitter Marker in Iced Ivy. I love all the sparkle you can get from this marker!
The Pure Sheen 4 Pack has two lovely glitters – Falling Snow and Christmas Magic. I can easily see a little elf leaving behind some Christmas Magic during their nightly escapades. Tonic has knocked the sequins and confetti out of the park this time. The Candy Cane sequins are silver and red striped with the Starlit Snowflakes confetti are silver holographic and shaped like snow! I can’t wait to make some shaker elements for my Journal Your Christmas album this year!
We’re almost to my favorite product – the Drops, but first, let’s take a look at two more products to help you get ready for the holiday season. This Frosted Bough Sparkle Spray is sure to add the right touch to cards and embellishments. I am always amazed at how much sparkle they pack into the bottle!
A new color for the Glacier Paste line is Crushed Cranberry. I am excited to try this on a layout with a stencil. The Glacier Paste takes longer to dry than the Crackle Mousse but it’s packed with mica to make it sparkle like the snow.
It’s finally time for the Nuvo Drops! Two reds and two greens in four different finishes are the perfect final touch for your Christmas crafting. We are going to start with an amazing red Jewel Drop called Holly Berries. This looks like that perfect Christmas red that I’ve been dying to get my hands on.
Also in red is are Rudolf’s Nose Dream Drops. Hello, iridescent red! This looks. tob a bit warmer than I expected but still a must have for any collection.
And in the green Drops category we have Glitter Drops in Grotto Green. This looks like a great emerald green. I’m curious how it compares to the Emerald City Glitter Drops which no longer appear available on the Tonic Studios website.
I saved the best for last. My favorite finish isn’t a secret. It’s the gloss finish for the Crystal Drops and there’s a new one! Sprig of Mistletoe doesn’t make me think of Christmas at first glance. However, that doesn’t mean to skip it. This yellow leaning green will be lovely for foliage of all sorts and honestly makes me want to use it on a summer layout right away.
Which new product is your favorite? Leave a comment down below with your must haves of this collection. If you can only get one thing, I’d highly recommend the Sprig of Mistletoe Crystal Drops. But, if you’re like me and want them all, there are bundles available to help you save money. In fact, the big “All the New Nuvo!” bundle is a full 25% off! You can check it out here and see all the different bits of Christmas happiness that Tonic Studios has available with their new line Santa’s Workshop.
